Naim Sliti, the star striker for Al-Gharafa in Saudi Arabia's Premier League, has been ruled out for another month due to a knee ligament injury.
The striker was involved in a fierce battle with his rival on Saturday night and suffered a severe knock to his knee.
He is currently undergoing treatment and will be back in action when he returns from the break.
"I am still trying to get myself ready," said Naim. "I have had a lot of training sessions but I feel like I'm not getting enough time to recover properly."
The injury comes just days after he scored three goals in his last match against Al-Ahli, which saw him score two goals in a row.
"It's unfortunate that this happened again," said Al-Gharafa manager, Ali al-Haddad. "But we need to focus on our players' physical condition and make sure they are fit before playing any games."
Naim has been a vital part of Al-Gharafa's attacking lineup and scored seven goals in their last six matches.
"His experience and goal-scoring ability will be missed," added al-Haddad. "We hope that he can come back soon and contribute more to the team."
